His Excellency Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, attended the official sitting of the National Assembly of Pakistan on 15 June as a Special Guest.        Dr. Amiri Moghadam participated in the parliamentary session at the invitation of the Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Upon his arrival, he received a warm welcome from Members of Parliament, members of the Federal Cabinet, and senior political figures of Pakistan.        During the session, high ranking government officials and Members of the National Assembly congratulated the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the people of Iran on the cessation of hostilities and the restoration of peace.         Addressing the House, the Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, commended Tehran's diplomatic engagement and stated:       "From this august House, I extend my sincere appreciation to His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, and to my dear brother, President Masoud Pezeshkian. I congratulate the people of Pakistan and all peace-loving nations and peoples on this historic moment."         The proceedings of the National Assembly were broadcast live on National Pakistan Television as well as other leading news channels across the country.         Prior to the commencement of the parliamentary session, Ambassador Amiri Moghadam held a separate meeting with the Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly. During the meeting, he expressed his appreciation for Pakistan's constructive political and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions, advancing dialogue, and promoting peace and stability in the region.
