The status of reception of travelers from countries with special conditions; Direct or indirect travelers to Iran who spend more than 4 hours in one of the countries (UK, South Africa, Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Bosavana, Brazil, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Democratic Republic) within a maximum of two weeks before the trip. Congo, Ecuador, Swatini, French Guinea, Lesotho, Guyana, Malawi, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Rwanda, Sicily, Suriname, Tanzania, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter the Islamic Republic of Iran and their entry at the airport of the country of origin is prohibited.
All Iranian and foreign nationals who intend to travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran, are required to provide a negative molecular test certificate (RT-PCR) according to Covid 19 with a validity period of up to 96 hours from laboratories approved by the Ministry of Health In English or approved by the consulate, they depart at the airport before boarding the plane.

Operational Instructions for passengers travelling to Islamic Republic of Iran
1- All passengers upon arrival at the destination airport / port and before the passport, are required to present a molecular test certificate (RT PCR) negative according to Covid 19 (Coronavirus) to representatives located at the border health care base and undergo screening (Syndromic care and thermometry) by them.
2- Re-testing of molecular test (PCR-RT) is performed upon arrival in the country and at the airport / port of destination in the following conditions.
- Direct / indirect travelers over 8 years who have traveled from the origin of high-risk countries or have used those countries as a transit point (with a stay of more than 4 hours).
- Incoming passengers from the origin of other countries who are screened and syndromic care performed at the entrance border are marked or suspicious.
Note: Obtaining re-testing from travelers from countries with special conditions is subject to the special conditions announced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
Quarantine
Sending to quarantine after entering the country will be done in the following conditions:
1- 14-day quarantine at personal accommodation: All asymptomatic incoming passengers with negative PCR-RT test according to Covid-19, must have the exact address of their personal accommodation (14-day quarantine) which is completed in the form of passenger commitment at the origin (form attached) along with the available telephone numbers and after passing through the passport section, a group such as a bus or minibus will leave for its 14-day quarantine location without using public transportation. In addition, passengers should be properly informed about the non-use of group public transport at the origin and by carrier companies.
For incoming travelers from high-risk countries, again 3 to 5 days after entering the country, in the same quarantine location, a respiratory sample will be taken for PCR-RT test by the tracking care team of the callers belonging to the health base covering their quarantine area and safely sent immediately to the laboratory for testing.
2- Quarantine of people with symptoms in a hospital, private accommodation or hotel:
Passengers with symptoms of suspected Covid-19 disease or tested positive at the airport / port will be referred to a hospital, home, or hotel for isolation or quarantine at the discretion of the border health care team and their details are recorded in the relevant electronic systems and the contacted tracking care team (CT) is informed about the health base covering the area of residence in the city where they are isolated for 14 days (residence / hospitalization). Checking the contacts according to the instructions, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education's Infectious Diseases Management Center will be notified in the fourth step of the fight against Covid-19. The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is responsible for providing temporary quarantine space at the airport / port to isolate suspects until quarantine.
- Diplomats, officials and representatives of international organizations are subject to all the conditions set forth in the instructions for admission to the origin and destination, with the difference that if they have clinical signs or are suspicious of the instructions for the care of travelers suspected of having the disease. They will be immediately sent to the embassy of their home country for isolation and quarantine at the embassy of that country.
4- If according to the special conditions announced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, it is necessary to send passengers to the hotel, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is obliged to coordinate and plan with the hotels.
Test and accommodation costs
1- The cost of molecular test (PCR-RT) in all airports and ports of the country is the same and equal to the tariff set by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (dollars or Rials) and to be paid by passengers.
2- It is the responsibility of the travelers to pay the hotel accommodation expenses for the period determined by the Ministry of Health.
3- The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is obliged to ensure the presence of exchange representatives at the airport / port and before the passport and to make the necessary arrangements with hotels and accommodation centers.
Care and health requirements
1- Implementation of infection control measures in dealing with these patients should be strictly emphasized.
2- All those who come in contact with passengers who are suspected of being ill or ill, should be tracked and closely followed by the tracked care teams of the callers and sampling with rapid antigen (RDT) test (from early sampling of those around them before 24 hours). Avoid contact with the patient first because it can be a false negative.
3 - People who test positive for rapid antigen (RDT), need to follow the isolation according to the instructions and be strictly prohibited from the workplace and the community. Monitoring of the isolation of these patients is very important and violation of isolation regulations is considered a threat to public health and safety.
4- Those whose negative RDT test is negative, will be re-sampled and tested for RDT in a period of 2 to 4 days, and if it is positive, it will be isolated and if it is negative in the second time, the quarantine period will continue for 14 days.
- If the passport officer finds out that he / she has been present in one of the countries covered by the instruction during the last 14 days in checking the passport and documents of the passenger, he / she is obliged to direct the passenger to the border health care base for further examination.
