Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan visits Iran

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan "Qasim Khan Suri" on the invitation of his Iranian counterpart and to meet with the officials of our country on Saturday morning, February 19, 2022, left for an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 During the visit, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan met with Ali Nikzad Samrin, deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament), Dr. Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and discussed bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic, parliamentary and border relations.

 Qasem Khan Souri also traveled to the holy city of Mashhad and while visiting the holy shrine of Imam Reza a.s, he met with the governor of Khorasan Razavi, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Khorasan Razavi and the deputy custodian of the holy shrine of Imam Reza a.s.

 This is first visit of Qasim Khan Suri' to Iran as Deputy Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament. His visit to Tehran comes just days after Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi's important visit to Islamabad.
